Terms and Conditions
In force from 28 August 2026.
These terms govern booking and taking part in Yakventure adventures as a consumer. By making a booking you accept them, together with the Cancellation and Refund Policy, which forms part of them.
1. Who you are contracting with

2. Booking
Listed adventures are an invitation to book, not a binding offer. A contract is formed when we confirm your booking by email. Every adventure runs with a minimum of 7 participants. If that number is not reached the adventure is cancelled and everything you paid is refunded to your bank account within two working days.
3. Price and deposit
The participation fee covers the kayak, an instructor and guide on marked routes, safety provision, training, logistics and assistance. Any other figures shown on the site are for information only and are not goods or services sold by us. A deposit of 40% confirms your booking and is due no later than 7 days before the date. The balance is paid as set out in your confirmation.
4. Cancellation and rescheduling
Cancellation, rescheduling and refunds are set out in full in the Cancellation and Refund Policy, which applies to the contract between us. It covers the deadlines for full and partial refunds, cancellation by us for dangerous weather or safety reasons, and rescheduling.
5. The 14-day right of withdrawal
Please note: the statutory 14-day right of withdrawal does NOT apply to contracts for leisure activities provided on a specific date or period (Article 57(12) of the Bulgarian Consumer Protection Act, implementing Article 16(l) of the Consumer Rights Directive). Yakventure adventures are such services. The cancellation terms in section 4 apply instead, and in several respects they are more generous than the statutory minimum.
6. Safety and eligibility
Taking part requires a signed declaration, which you receive when booking. The minimum age is 14 for most expeditions; some accept younger participants accompanied by a parent. You must tell us about medical conditions that could affect your safe participation and follow the guides' instructions. We may refuse participation where safety requirements are not met, in which case the cancellation terms in section 4 apply.
7. Liability and insurance
Our activities are covered by liability insurance. Kayaking and mountain travel carry inherent risks that cannot be wholly eliminated and which you accept by signing the declaration. We do not limit our liability where the law does not allow it, including for death, personal injury or intent.
8. Intellectual property
All designs, photographs and content on this site are the intellectual property of Yakventure. Reproducing, copying or using them without permission is prohibited.
9. Disputes
Bulgarian law applies. If we cannot resolve a complaint you may contact the Bulgarian Commission for Consumer Protection (kzp.bg) or use the European online dispute resolution platform at ec.europa.eu/consumers/odr. This does not affect your right to go to a competent Bulgarian court.
10. Changes
We may change these terms. The version in force when you made your booking is the one that applies to it.
